The department of language and communication under the self- financing scheme was established during the academic year 2014 -15 with the VISION to ignite the minds to attain the higher realms of intellectual thought through mastery of literature and journalism while rooted in reality and help them mould a new world order of brotherhood and harmonious growth for man and nature alike. It has the MISSION to foster innovative approaches towards knowledge acquisition and creative use of knowledge resources to identify one’s potential and uniqueness by developing their talents.

The importance of the study of English and Mass Communication can never be underestimated. It opens the doors to a wide canvas of journalism and communication skills.

Functional English received more and more attention from domestic scholars in the world of linguistics since 1970s, but it’s still new to most EFL teachers.
