NATURE CLUB, GREEN CLUB AND OISCA-‘SAVE GREEN CLUB’

As the very names suggest these clubs have identical objectives and style of functioning. And in Devagiri it is more so because they are led by the same person, Mr. P I John. The major activities of these clubs can be clubbed together as follows:

1. Observed World Environment day in association with OISCA South India Chapter at the Town Hall on 3rd June 2002.

2. Conducted seminar on “Prakruthi Jeevanam” by Smt. Sreekumari Amma on 30th July 2002.

3. Attended workshop on “Youth Empowerment for nation Building” organized by OISCA South India Chapter on 10th August 2002.

4. Removed plastic waste from the college campus as part of the project – “Plastic Free Campus”

5. Organised seminar on “The Environmental Problems caused by Plastic” on 3rd October 2002.

6. Participated in the Youth Day celebrations organized by OISCA South India Chapter on 12th January 2003.

7. These clubs are also active in pruning the shade trees by the road leading to the college, installing and painting dust bins in the campus etc.
