provides N.C.C. training in both Army and Naval wings
Activities
of the year 2003 - 2004
Army:
(Officer: Mr. C.M. Philip, M.A.)
This was
an year of achievement for the NCC Army wing. Ours was adjuded
the best troop in the Calicut Group. At the Independence Day
Parade (New Delhi), our cadets under the leadership of SUO
Jithin K Thomas won the trophy for the best platoon. Under-officer
Ajaydas was selected the best cadet of Calicut group. Nidhin
K found placement in Indian Air Force. Vigneshkumar has passed
the preliminary test to join defence service. Joseph Cherian
and Ansar M represented Kerala in the R D Parade at New Delhi.
The other important activities of the cadets are a three-day
treckking to Vellarimala, Periodic cleaning of the Leprosy
hospital premises and promoting Aids-awareness programmes
at Puthiappa.
Navy:
(Officer: Mr. P.A. Devasia, M.A., M.Phil.)
The NCC
Naval wing unit on this college with a cadet strength of 50
and under the supervision of ANO P.A,Devasia has brought much
glory to this college. Of the 16 cadets who attended the RD
Parade at Delhi from Kerala and Lakshadweep put together,
we could register a participation of four cadets-Tissin Simon,
Anoop Sebastian,Nair Nigil Balan and Ansar M. Reji M, Rajan
P and Shameen M attended the Nausainik camp at Vishakapatanam
and won gold medal in Boat Pulling. Reji M and Rajan P also
won a bronze medal and a silver medal respectively. Sreejesh
U V and Remi Augustine attended the National Integration Camp
at Bangalore and Salesh N and Vipin PS,at Kollam.Alex Thomas
attended Sea-training Camp at Bombay.Abilash K got selection
in Indian Navy.
